Resources & FAQ
Taking the first step toward therapy or coaching can bring up a lot of questions.
This page helps you feel informed and confident as you explore what kind of care fits your needs — whether that’s therapy, coaching, or simply gathering information about mental health resources in Seattle.
Getting Started
What happens during the free 15-minute consultation?
This short phone or video call is a chance to connect, ask questions, and learn more about how we can work together. It’s not a therapy session — just a comfortable space to see if our approach feels like the right fit. You may book a consultation on the contact page.
Getting Started
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes! You can choose in-person sessions at our Seattle office or virtual sessions from anywhere in Washington State. Coaching is available online for added flexibility as well. Contact provider for more specific information.
Fees & Accessibility
Do you accept insurance?
Lemon Tree Counseling is currently in the process of becoming paneled with insurance providers. For now, sessions are self-pay. A sliding scale is available for those who qualify. We are also offering a 10% discount for those who show proof of a donation to Northwest Immigrant Rights Project as well.
Getting Started
How do I know if therapy or coaching is right for me?
Therapy is best if you’re seeking emotional healing, mental health support and want to continue treatment around a specific diagnosis for any reason, such as working with a psychiatrist. Coaching is ideal if you want to focus on personal growth, confidence, or life direction. We can explore both options during your consultation.
Fees and Accessibility
What are your session rates and is there a sliding scale option?
Rates vary depending on the service (therapy or coaching). Yes — we reserve a limited number of sliding-scale sessions to help make therapy more accessible. Please reach out to discuss current rates and flexible payment options.
